Preferences · 
Depending on your preferences, variations in your scope and budget may exist, such as hiring a headliner band vs. a DJ, each of which require very different planning efforts and budget allocation. A unique floral entrance is more design work and material cost than a minimal display of bud vases on cocktail tables. Michelin style dining with multiple courses and paired international wines vs. a simple family style dinner creates completely different execution plans and supply lists. Based on your vision, we will design your event to meet your specifications.

Our clients, along with most weddings and events that you see in published magazines, usually begin with a budget around $1,000 per guest, with higher-end, full scale events passing $4,500 per guest, which goes into hiring or building a venue; supplier labour; food; beverage; and material costs.

The images featured in our wedding portfolio represent events in the $70,000 to $300,000 range. Our team, network and experienced process can support events exceeding million dollar budgets.

We provide a high-touch solution with every detail taken care of for your celebration; best for those wanting a unique and beautiful event crafted by experts.

We design your event to match your preferred style and provide a full team to produce the vision, usually beginning set up at least the day before, if not sooner, depending on the scope of the event.

From tents with custom floor plans, lighting, electricity, water, staging and decor; to yachts, private residences, boutique hotels, gardens and ballrooms, we focus on enhancing your guest experience and weave exceptional moments throughout the celebration.

What we do

The Modrn Company's fee is 18% of the total event spend and is directly related to the scope of service required. We limit full-service clients to 10 per year to dedicate the time and attention needed.

Events are managed and styled by Creative Director and CEO, Ashley Davidson, with associate, MacKenzie Verhelst, taking lead on some events for planning, design and production.

Every event is different, even if the colours and styles seem similar. You have your own story to tell. That's why we always present custom options to fit your desired experience. 

What does custom design mean?

We will have sessions as needed throughout our journey to provide you with updates and designs iterations, but most communication is held in our project management board to save you from meeting times wherever possible.

When do we meet? 

We have planned full scale events in 2 weeks. Ideally, we begin 12 months before your wedding date to find the best vendors. If you need a venue, we will find the most suitable for your desired celebration.

When should we book you?

Please connect with us to define every aspect of your ideal vision. We develop a realistic budget required to create your unique event, then we get started on bringing it all to life!

how do we get started?

We have 4 phases:  Onboarding, Vendor Bookings, Design, and Schedules & Details. As we create your vision, we work behind the scenes with vendors to put all the details in place for you.

what is the planning Journey like?

All the requirements for a successful event, including budget creation, room bookings, floral and stationery selection, and event production to ensure you and your guests are taken care of completely.
